LIFE ON BOARD

"A ship is always safe at the shore

but that is not what it is build for"

- Albert Einstein

The sailor's life

On board, there is a diverse program. Every two days, there's a rotation between watch duty and school days. When I have watch duty, I will be responsible for various tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, setting sails, navigating, and all other activities related to operating the ship. On school days, as you might have guessed, my primary focus will be on my schoolwork.

School

I'm fourteen years old, fifteen by the time I step on board, and I'm still subject to compulsory school attendance. During these six months, I will continue with my regular schoolwork. While a few teachers will be on board, there won't be traditional classes. I will mainly be engaged in self-study for my schoolwork. School at Sea places great importance on experiential learning, and this adventure will undoubtedly add to my knowledge and personal development.
