Help me make my dream come true!
To be able to experience this fantastic journey, I need to raise 26,000 euros on my own. This money will be used for port fees, food, supplies, excursions, exchanges, school support, sailing lessons, and much more! I will raise this money by organizing fundraisers and seeking sponsors, with the support of the fundraising program organized by School at Sea.
The fundraising program of School at Sea consists of four Sundays. I learn how to deal with setbacks, how to present myself and my dream effectively, how to craft a good elevator pitch, and how to map and utilize my network. We acquired these tools from Brenda Sarbach, who has her own training and coaching company, and she supported us in our initial steps of this adventure. On the fourth training day, we had a workshop on 'pitching and presenting' by Simon Groen, who provides presentation training to large companies, is a comedy actor, and a writer for the Dutch TV program 'Het Klokhuis.' In addition, former School at Sea students gave presentations, and we had the opportunity to ask questions. In short, these were highly informative training sessions, and I am starting this adventure with confidence and enthusiasm.
